Located at Banyul-warri Fields, Merrijig Dr Torquay, the Surf Coast Football Club (SCFC) is a strong and inclusive Community Football Club that respects and develops its members by providing an enjoyable, caring and safe environment that the community can be proud of.
We are a club for everyone. Men, women, girls and boys. We encourage participation, teach excellence, and play fair. We promote a spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork that promotes healthy competition. We focus on development of technical skills and tactical understanding, enabling players to reach their highest potential, and instil values that promote strength of character. A few words from our Club President, Mariela Pocklington
A huge welcome to the 2021 season! After such a difficult 2020, where not much football was played, we look forward to a brighter future thanks to the continued support of you, our members. Unfortunately, the challenge of COVID-19 remains with us this season, both as a Club and individually, but we look ahead, with excitement, to a much smoother year.
At Surf Coast FC, we pride ourselves on being a family friendly, community-based club. With many more families now residing in the Surf Coast and Geelong region, we not only look forward to seeing our existing members again soon but encourage and welcome new families to join our Club.
As part of our inclusive philosophy, we cater to a wide range of abilities. In 2021, the Club is offering:
Kickstart program for children aged 4-6 years,
Hub teams for children aged 7-11 years,
Junior competitions for boys and girls aged 12-17 years, and
Metro Senior teams and local Senior competition.

With our third pitch now complete, we look forward to the continued development of our Pavilion and clubrooms, which are being constructed in collaboration with the Surf Coast Shire and State Government. This development will not only add to our already amazing facility, but take it to the next level, showcasing us as an established, professional, well supported, community-based club.
The club is looking to grow the club for everyone, juniors, seniors, male and females, coaches, volunteers and administrators and create a genuine pathway for all and develop a true connection to the club so it feels like family and a home.
I would like to take a moment to thank all returning and incoming coaching coordinators, coaches, team managers and volunteers for the coming season. We could not operate without you.
I would also like to acknowledge and thank Steve Christou who has undertaken a mountain of work with the club but who unfortunately had to step aside. I want to also thank and acknowledge the Committee for their skill, expertise, and hard work. This Club would not exist without you.
