Expression of Interest – Coaches
Surf Coast FC | 2027 Season
2027 COACHING AND COORDINATOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Surf Coast Football Club is now seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from coaches and Coordinator’s for our 2027 Boys’ and Girls’ programs, from U7 through to U17.
Whether you’re an experienced coach or looking to coach for the first time, we’d love to hear from you. Every season, 15–20 new coaches join our club, many with little or no previous coaching experience, and are well supported by Surf Coast FC through our mentoring program and Coerver Coaching Partner Club.
Coaches appointed (or shortlisted) will be involved in, and supported throughout, the player assessment and team formation process, helping create the best possible environment for every player to develop, enjoy football, and build a lifelong love of the game.
Benefits of Coaching at Surf Coast FC
* Make a difference in players’ development, confidence and enjoyment of football.
* Develop your coaching and leadership skills with practical experience and club support.
* Coerver coaching support and resources for session planning and player development.
* Coaching pathways from MiniRoos and Community through to Advanced programs.
* Help shape the future of Surf Coast FC and our growing football programs.
* Subsidised coaching courses and training.
* Subsidised player registration for eligible coaches.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome EOIs from coaches who:
* Are passionate about developing junior players.
* Create a positive, inclusive, and enjoyable team environment.
* Communicate effectively with players, parents, and club volunteers.
* Support Surf Coast FC’s values and player development pathway.
* Hold, or are willing to obtain, the appropriate coaching accreditation and a current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
Previous coaching experience is valued but not essential. Commitment, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn are the qualities we value most.
Junior Boys Advanced & Junior Girls Advanced
Applicants interested in coaching within our Junior Boys Advanced or Junior Girls Advanced programs are encouraged to provide a detailed summary of their coaching experience.
Please include:
* Previous coaching roles and age groups coached.
* Coaching qualifications and licences held (or currently working towards).
* Experience in advanced, representative, academy, or talent development programs.
* Relevant playing experience (where applicable).
* Your coaching philosophy and approach to player development.
* Experience working within Football Victoria advanced competitions or equivalent pathways.
These programs are designed for players seeking a higher-performance football environment and require coaches who can effectively develop individual players while fostering a positive, challenging, and team-first culture. Coaching appointments will place a strong emphasis on experience, leadership, communication, and alignment with Surf Coast FC’s long-term football philosophy.
If you have any questions, please contact us at hub@surfcoastfc.com.
Thank you for considering volunteering with Surf Coast Football Club. Our coaches are the foundation of our football program, and we sincerely appreciate everyone who is willing to contribute their time and knowledge to support our players.

Football Operations Team
We’re excited to launch a club-wide recycling initiative as part of Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic). This is a simple way to support SCFC while reducing waste in our community.
We’ve placed designated bins around the club to collect eligible drink containers. For every can or bottle collected, SCFC will receive 10 cents, helping us raise valuable funds while promoting sustainability.
